Read about the project in the SF Examiner

The SF Examiner did a great interview about the project. It's always so funny to see what a news story picks up. I was surprised by the interest in bee stings this time! You can see it at:

leafcutter bees

I can't wait to participate. I spent last summer videotaping the leafcutter bees in my garden and learning which plants they liked to visit, both for pollen and for cutting the leaves. I look forward to continuing to bee watch, with a broader purpose this time!

honeu bees

My sunflower seeds never came up, I got them late but still should have come up. Honey bees are here in abundance now. They are all over my figs, more than I have seen this summer. This is just as info, to let you know we do have a lot of bees. Of course I have a large variety of bees in the figs. Will try on sunflowers again next year. Ken
